- There’s no next time. It’s now or never.
- You can’t change other people. You can only change yourself.
- Fear, uncertainty and discomfort are your compasses toward growth.
- If what you’re doing is not your passion, you have nothing to lose.
- Sometimes you have to let go of what you have now in order to move forward.
- When in doubt, follow your intuition. It will guide you to where you need to be.
- Would you rather learn to deal with the truth now than be forced to do so later on?
- The more low value tasks you outsource, the more time you have to do higher value stuff.
- Focus is what happens when you stop letting yourself get distracted by the unimportant things.
- The more you take responsibility for your past and present, the more you are able to create the future you seek.
- If you are not living each day with excitement, energy, and passion, then you are not living true to your life purpose.
- Why drown yourself with work that is not of pertinent value to you when you can outsource it for $5, $8, or $10 an hour?
- You can’t control the future, but you can affect the present moment. If you want to have a better future, create it now.
- Your external reality is merely a reflection of your internal beliefs. Change your beliefs and your reality will follow suit.
- There are times when you have low value tasks that can’t be cut away. They simply have to be done. That’s what outsourcing is for.
- You have all the power in you to do everything you ever want, and more. So start doing what you want and let the power in you emerge.
- I outsource because it makes me more effective. It helps me focus on the high value, 20% tasks that make the biggest impact in my life.
- If something can be automated, then automate it. There’s no point in outsourcing something if it can be handled by systems in the first place.
- Be genuinely interested in the person. Who is this person? What’s on his/her mind? What does he/she enjoy doing? What motivates him/her in life?
- When you live a life trying to please others, you end up not living a life at all. You are just living others’ lives under the facade of your life.
- It’s better to create sustainable change than change that is quick but does not last. Stop going for the easy way out. Learn how to create lasting change instead.
- Attachment only causes anguish in the long run because nothing is permanent in this world. Don’t mourn over the loss of something. Be happy that it happened instead.
- Death is part and parcel of life. With every death comes a new birth; with every birth comes an eventual death. Don’t mourn the dead. Celebrate the fact that they lived.
- Procrastination is a sign of a bigger issue. Stop trying to fix your procrastination as a problem and start thinking about why you are procrastinating in the first place.
- You can’t change the past; it has happened and it is what it is. Fixating on it isn’t going to get you anywhere. You can only change the present to create a better future.
- There is no need to compare because everyone is different. Your goal is not to be like others but to be yourself. Stop comparing with others and focus on being yourself instead.
- Compliments are a great way to reduce social distance, remove tension, and open someone up. They are especially appreciated in a society where emotional generosity isn’t commonplace.
- You know, to me saying no ultimately boils down to respecting yourself. Do you respect yourself? Do you respect your time? Because if you respect yourself, you’ll also respect your time.
- You become an inspirational person by setting your goals and pursuing them. Live by example, make your life the highest version of what it can be, and inspire others by your direct actions.
- Celebrate how far you’ve come, and not how much you have yet to achieve. The former will empower you to greatness, while the latter is rooted in fear and only serves to hold you back from greatness.
- Money is a symbol of value exchange between people. The amount of money you earn is simply a representation of the value you are giving to others. To earn more money, simply create more value for others.
- Material objects are just tools to help you enjoy your life. You do not carry them with you when you die. So, don’t invest yourself in them. Rather, invest yourself in the development of your consciousness.
- Anger is the most volatile form of emotion you can ever burden yourself with. Every bit of anger you hold on to damages your soul. Whenever you feel angry, remember that the person you are hurting is yourself.
- Ask purposeful questions. Questions elicit answers. The kind of questions you ask will steer the direction of the conversation. To have a meaningful conversation with the other person, ask meaningful questions.
- It is always better to tell the truth because you stay clean that way. When you tell a lie, you live a lie forever. Not only that, you almost always have to cover it up with new lies. It is a cycle that never ends.
- Ask for help or advice. People love to help. Helping makes them feel important. Helping makes them feel like they are adding value to people’s lives. Helping puts them in an advisory role which hones the leader in them.
- There is no one standard of beauty. Beauty comes in all shapes, all sizes, all forms, all colors. You are beautiful as you are. Stop trying to conform to the image of beauty constructed by the society and embrace the beauty that is you.
- Low consciousness people hold you back from reaching greater heights. These include energy vampires, critical people, dishonest characters, and people with temperament issues. Let them go from your life and send them love as you do that.
- Get the big rocks in. Big rocks are your quadrant 2 tasks – the important but non- urgent tasks. When big rocks are in place, you can easily get the small rocks, gravel, sand and water into the jar. Much easier than if you tried to do it the other way round, isn’t it?
- 50-50 sharing. I always think that a great conversation should be made up of equal sharing by both parties. Sometimes it may be 40-60 or 60-40 depending on the circumstances, but by and large, both parties should have equal opportunities to share and contribute to the conversation.
- Recognize that many rejections are rarely personal. They usually reflect more about the other person and how the request doesn’t meet his/her needs, than about you. By taking yourself out of the equation, you’ll realize a lot of your emotional responses with the rejection are unnecessary.
- Focus on the positives. Go for the positive topics. Which means rather than talk about past grievances, opt for a discussion of future goals. Rather than talk about the coffee that spilled on your table this morning, talk about that movie you are looking forward to watch later in the evening.
- Be true to yourself. Your best asset is your true personality. Embrace it and let it shine. Don’t cover it up. It’ll be pretty boring if all you do is mime the other person’s words during a conversation; there wouldn’t be anything to discuss at all. Be ready to share your real thoughts and opinions. Be proud of what you stand for and be ready to let others know the real you.
- Put the person in his/her best light. Always look for ways to make the person look good. Give credit where credit is due. Recognize talent where you see it. Drop compliments where appropriate. Allow the person to shine in his/her own light. A lot of people don’t recognize their personal prowess and it’s up to you to help them do that. Be their guide; be their conduit to love.
- If you can understand the reason behind the rejection, you can do things differently next time. One easy way is to follow- up and ask why. This can be done for almost any situation. Let them know you accept the rejection and you sincerely want to learn what went wrong, so you can improve. When done in an appropriate and sincere manner, the other party will often be more than willing to share and help you to improve.
- Respect other people’s point of view. It’s fine to express your opinion, but don’t forcefully enforce it on them. Respect other people’s space—don’t encroach on the person’s privacy unless a common bond has been established. Respect other people’s personal choices—don’t criticize or judge. To do otherwise in each instance would be to impose yourself onto others when it isn’t your place to do so. Remember, everyone has his/her right to be him/herself, just as you have the right to be yourself.
