God as a unified field and us as localised experience fields within it (summary)

God is a unified field; the field of all fields

  • God, the unified field, is the ultimate subject of all experience.
  • Each of us is a localised experience field that God is experiencing through. We are all part of the unified field that is God experiencing.
  • Each experience field is a centre of perception and observation with a localised point of view, experiencing something different.
  • Each experience field is part of the divine mind; a cross section of that mind. The divine mind creates (and knows) all experience through its divine powers of imagination and dreaming.
.

Each experience field is a field of awareness, a localised field of consciousness within the greater awareness that is God

  • The experience field is the essence of what the soul is.
  • All experiences (qualia) are excitations or waves of vibration (experience fields) within the greater awareness.
  • An experience field creates the arising sense of a perceiving mind, a mind that is a stream of perceptions arising in a field of knowing.
  • The experience field creates the illusion of separation between our experiences and those of “others”.
  • The experience field creates the appearance of multiplicity, diversity, duality, polarity and time.
.

Experience fields make experiencing possible

  • They do this by creating the sense of being an experiencer experiencing (a subject or “I”), by creating apparent subjects and objects of experience and by creating unified but filtered streams of experiences that come and go.
  • An experience field can be compared to an apparatus that God puts on to experience being a character in a virtual reality movie.
  • Experience fields explain how indivisible, infinite consciousness can experience and be what appears to be separate and finite. They explain how many experiences arise in the one indivisible consciousness. They explain how indivisible consciousness is able to apparently individualise itself in order to experience experiencing.
.

An experience field is like a whirlpool on the surface of God’s Infinite Being

  • Experience fields are waves of vibration within the greater unified ocean of awareness.
  • By connecting deeply with Being, the experience field temporarily falls away and we connect with the reality of oneness.
  • The sense of being an experiencer experiencing is an illusion created by the field which temporarily divides consciousness into the apparent knower and the known. In reality, there is no subject and object of experience. There is only experiencing.
  • The sense of being a perceiver perceiving is itself an object arising in the field of knowing. In reality, there is only infinite Being, pure non-dual awareness.
  • By resting deeply in Being, even the sense of I falls away. This is a state beyond the experience and the experiencer, a state beyond description and words, a taste of pure Being beyond all fields of experience. Mystics regard this is the highest of all spiritual states.
.

The experience field represents a kind of perceptual filter

  • Each experience field (separate mind) is filtered from the mind of God.
  • The experience field filters out all information and experiences not relevant to the field. The experience field is also a filter of consciousness.
  • The experience field filters out the infinite so that it may experience the finite, rather like the infinite potential of white light can be filtered to create a diverse range of finite colours.
  • The filters of the experience field work partly through the filter of attention and the filter of belief.
  • The filters of the experience field can, at times, be weakened, thus allowing in more, and this is something we should aim to do from time to time.
.

Each experience field has its own attractor pattern which influences what is experienced through the field

  • The attractor pattern represents the level of consciousness of the experience field. This is a state of mind and being that partly determines what kinds of experiences the experience field will attract to it. Attractor patterns within our experience field can make us go strong or weak.
  • Each experience field inherits its level of consciousness at “birth,” some would say as part of its karmic inheritance, but its level of consciousness can then change during the span of a life, especially through spiritual practices.
.

The experience field has limitations inherent in it in order for God to know finite experience

  • Form, by its very nature, implies some degree of limitation.
  • The experience field imposes apparent limitations on infinite consciousness (God) within the experience field in order to make finite experience possible.
  • Through experience fields, infinite God is able to experience being limited as form and then experience a gradual evolution back to limitlessness.
  • Within the limits imposed by each experience field, God is free to create a vast variety of different experiences.
  • The experience field limits the field of knowing within it. Thus, each experience field appears to contain a separate world, an illusion created by the apparent boundaries of the experience field.
  • Each experience field causes its localised consciousness to have amnesia so that God forgets who God is within the field. In forgetting, God identifies Godself with the apparent limitations inherent in the experience field.
  • The experience field also limits the degree of connectedness to God’s Infinite Being and therefore access to spiritual power. Some experience fields contain greater access to spiritual power than others.
  • All experiences within the experience field are manifested by the potentiality of God’s Infinite Being. The degree of connectedness to God’s Infinite Being within an experience field determines the degree of unlimited potentiality available to manifest experience.
  • Inherent in many experience fields is a waking state and dream state. Inherent in the waking state are physical laws that limit what is experienceable.
  • Within some experience fields, God is able to awaken to Godself.
.

All localised experience fields combine to create one Unified Field that knows all experience

  • God is the Unified Field containing all fields. God is having seemingly separate experiences through each field, all actually part of one experience. Each seemingly separate world is known by the one universal consciousness (God). Together, we all create one unified field of awareness and knowing.
  • All seemingly separate experiences combine to create one combined experience field, vast and epic beyond all imagination. The combined experience of life is a kaleidoscope of indescribable profundity and wonder, a kind of symphony composed of seemingly separate notes.
  • If God’s unified field of experiencing were an all-seeing eye, it would be a cosmic compound eye that sees all. Each a lens has its own unique point of view, together creating a vision that is epic and kaleidoscopic.
.

Understanding experience fields help us realise the truth that our experiences are not separate

  • All our experiences are intimately connected. All our experiences are part of a greater whole.
  • Even within our seemingly separate experience fields, we can sometimes sense how our experiences overlap and in certain circumstances and mind-states, the boundaries between our experience fields can come tumbling down. The blurring at the edges of experience fields is also evidenced by the existence of the collective unconscious.
.

Understanding experience fields helps us realise that the centre of experience is everywhere

  • The experience field creates the sense that we are each the centre of the universe. The deepest truth is that the centre is everywhere and so are we, especially if we see ourselves and our life experiences as an intimate part of the whole and rest in the humility of this realisation. We realise that the Beingness at the center of our experience, that illuminates and knows our experience, is at the centre of all experience.
  • We must not mistake our limited vision for the limits of the world. We are small in what we know but great in what we are. We are God having a temporary experience of limitation. We are the one consciousness experiencing itself.
.

Understanding experience fields helps us realise there are things we can do to expand the boundaries of our perception and knowing

  • We can, at least in part, transcend the filters inherent in our experience field. For example, there is much we can do to expand our level of consciousness within our experience field through selfless acts, spiritual practices and mystical brews. We can also expand our field of awareness to include that which was previously unconscious.
  • By expanding our awareness and blurring the boundaries of our experience field, we start living more and more unbounded lives in the growing realisation that the sense of being a separate self (ego) is an illusion.
  • In reality, each of us is the Unified Field identifying with a tiny and temporary part of itself. Disidentify with the temporary boundaries of your experience field. Identify yourself instead with the infinite Awareness that pervades all experience fields.
  • Deepen your connection to the Unified Field by being attentive to the field of aware knowing in which you have your being and by then resting in it. Realise you are far vaster than that which you perceive within your current field of knowing.
.

Understanding experience fields helps us realise our oneness with All

  • Realise your oneness with the Unified Field that is God and realise your oneness with all beings that comprise it. Each experience field is a microcosm within a macrocosm. Realise the reality of wholeness that exists beyond the illusion of separation.
  • The realisation of our oneness with all brings with it the natural arising of compassion and love for all.
.

Realise that every experience matters and no experience is more or less important

  • In the greater scheme of things, each experience field is seemingly insignificant, a drop in an immense ocean yet every drop matters for each drop is unique and vital to a whole that is infinite, profound and wondrous.
  • Each experience is irreplaceable, and no experience is more or less important than any other.
  • The experiences within each experience field are never lost or forgotten, continuing to exist as an eternal and retrievable memories in the divine mind.
  • Death is the ceasing of an experience field, yet the Unified Field and remains. Some believe death is a washing away of localised consciousness to enter into an all-knowing state, followed by an intentional forgetting and re-incarnation into another experience field if so chosen.
  • Recognise the world as a temporary illusion brought about by your experience field. Enjoy it without taking all too seriously. Celebrate all experience and the wondrous diversity of it.
  • Realise the human experience field is only one of countless other bands of perception, all with different sensory organs and modes of experience.
.

Transcend your limits by tapping into the potential of the Unified Field

  • Appreciate that the price the Infinite pays for finite experience is temporary limitation. Realise a large part of the reason for this limitation is so we can experience transcending it.
  • Sense the infinite possibility and potential of the Unified Field in which you have your being and tap into it by resting deeply in it.
