Grow your strengths, not your weaknesses (quotes)

.

If we focus only on correcting our weaknesses, all we end up with is strong weaknesses

.

Traditionally, we’ve been fixated with our weaknesses

  • Unfortunately, most of us have little sense of our talents and strengths, much less the ability to build our lives around them. Marcus Buckingham

  • It’s not necessarily what you’re good at or what you’re capable of—it’s what feels amazing when you do it. Ergo, a weakness is the stuff you do that makes you feel weakened. Deceptively simple. Revolutionary. Danielle LaPorte
  • A strength is “an activity that makes you feel strong.” It is an activity where the doing of it invigorates you. Before you do it, you find yourself instinctively looking forward to it. And after you are finished doing it, you feel authentic, connected to the best parts of who you really are. Marcus Buckingham
  • Talents not only come naturally to us, but are also accompanied by an “it feels good” quality. So it not only feels natural to use them, it also feels good to use them, thus constantly pushing us towards using our talents again and again. Marcus Buckingham

  • Some activities just seem to fill an innate need of yours.
