Life is God experiencing through us (summary)

I am an experiencer, experiencing life

  • Life is a stream of experiences; a stream of perceptions, sensations, emotions and thoughts passing through consciousness.
  • It is my consciousness that makes experiencing possible.
  • My consciousness is the space of awareness in which my experiences arise.
  • That I am aware of experiences coming and going in the here and now is something I know with absolute certainty.
  • My very sense of existence comes from the fact I am an experiencer, experiencing.
.

What is the true nature of the world I experience?

  • I can be far surer of my existence as an experiencer, experiencing, than I can be sure about the existence of the “real” world “out there” made of matter.
  • The truth is I never have a direct experience of the real world for all I experience “out there” actually arises within my consciousness.
  • My direct experience of the world is always made entirely of perception; not matter.
  • All I experience is a manifestation of my consciousness including my experience of time and space.
  • That the world I experience is a manifestation of consciousness is confirmed by physics in the form of the observer effect.
  • Consciousness, not matter, is the primary fabric of the world I experience.
.

The universe seems to exist to be experienced

  • Quantum physics shows that the universe does not and cannot exist independently of the experiencer.
  • Reality needs to be experienced by consciousness before it collapses into being.
  • The universe we experience is married to consciousness and does not and cannot exist independently of it.
  • This implies that the very purpose of the universe existing is tied up with the experiencing of it.
  • Another aspect that implies that the universe exists to be experienced is the fact that the universe appears to have been specifically fine-tuned to make the experience of life possible.
  • The very fact that consciousness exists also implies that the universe exists to be experienced.
.

What is the true identity of the experiencer of all I experience?

  • Who am I really? What is the true identity of the experiencer of all I experience?
  • I create stories out of my experiences and then lose my sense of self in these stories ; a sense of self that spiritual finders and philosophers have been saying for millennia is an illusion.
  • The truth is, even if it appears to be there, there is no inner experiencer (separate self) behind “my” eyes as modern neuroscience has increasingly shown.
  • I am not an accumulation of memories. I that which experiences memories coming and going.
  • I am not the mind or its thoughts. I am that which experiences thoughts coming and going.
  • In reality, the mind is nothing more than the current thought arising in my awareness.
  • I am not my emotions. I am that which is experiences emotions coming and going.
  • I am not my body. I am that which experiences sensations and perceptions of the body..
  • Therefore, I am not the mind, thoughts, emotions or body. I am that which experiences them.
  • I cannot be that which is ever-changing and fleeting. I must be that which remains constant.
  • When I let go of my thoughts and perceptions, including all thoughts of who I am, what remains?
  • Free of thoughts and perceptions, all that remains is an awareness; the awareness of being aware.
.

Consciousness I am knowing human experiences

  • It is awareness (my consciousness) that gives me the indisputable knowing that I exist; the naked sense “I am”
  • It is awareness (consciousness) that illuminates and pervades all my experiences.
  • The experiencer of all I experience is none other than awareness (consciousness) itself.
  • I am consciousness experiencing.
  • Consciousness I am knowing human experiences.
  • All my life experiences arise within the consciousness I am.
  • I falsely identify the consciousness I am with the body and mind.
  • The consciousness I am gets absorbed in experiences and the experience of being aware of being aware (my true nature) becomes obscured.
  • Realising I am the consciousness in which my experiences come and go and resting as that is to free myself of drama and suffering.
.

The consciousness I am is the ultimate mystery

  • Consciousness is the ultimate mystery, a mystery that science is still unable to explain.
  • The mystery is how physical matter can give rise to sentient awareness giving rise to a universe that is conscious.
  • Scientists can find no evidence of consciousness in the brain.
  • The greatest mystery is why inner experience should arise at all.
.

Investigating the true nature of the consciousness I am through spiritual practices

  • Spirituality is about exploring and discovering the true nature of the consciousness I am.
  • Spiritual enquiry makes use of a series of questions; questions that are asked repeatedly, often in a quiet, meditative state.
  • I enquire what is it that is aware and pay close attention to that turning attention away from the experience towards the experiencer; by becoming deeply conscious of being conscious and abiding as that.
  • In so doing, I rest deeply in my own Being.
  • True meditation is consciousness looking at itself through this awareness of being aware.
  • I also investigate the nature of consciousness by abiding in awareness during everyday experience (i.e. the practice of mindfulness).
.

Coming to know the true nature of the Consciousness I Am

  • Through spiritual enquiry and through resting deeply as awareness, I come to discover the nature of the awareness I am.
  • I discover awareness is the witness of all experience.
  • I discover awareness knows itself by being itself.
  • I discover awareness is self-illuminating.
  • I discover awareness perceives objects but is not perceivable as an object.
  • In other words, awareness is formless and cannot be known as an object by the mind.
  • I discover awareness is dimensionless, existing outside the world of space and time.
  • I discover that being free of all objective qualities, awareness is indivisible and unlimited.
  • I discover awareness is constant and unchanging while all that arises in it is in a constant state of flux.
  • I discover awareness is omniscient for it knows every experience.
  • I discover awareness contains all that is and is therefore whole and complete.
  • I discover awareness is universal, omnipresent and all pervading.
  • I discover my awareness and your awareness are one awareness.
  • I discover awareness is intimate with experience yet is never affected, harmed or disturbed by it.
  • I discover awareness is ever-present in the timeless now.
  • Being timeless and the container of all perceptions of time, awareness is eternal.
  • I discover awareness is never born and never dies (i.e. it is deathless and immortal)
  • I discover awareness is not confined to the body and brain and does not share its limits or fate.
  • I discover awareness is love and beauty.
  • I discover awareness is happiness and peace.
  • I discover awareness is pure freedom.
  • I discover awareness is the domain of pure possibility.
  • I discover awareness is pure intelligence and creativity.
  • I discover awareness transforms all it shines on.
  • I discover awareness heals.
  • I discover awareness is all that is absolutely and indisputably real.
  • I discover awareness is not just the witness of experience but the substance of all experience.
  • Awareness is all there is.
  • Awareness only ever experiences itself.
  • The experiencer (awareness) and the experience (the world) are inseparable.
.

A startling and exultant realisation

  • When I go deep within and there is enough awareness, there is a startling realisation; a realisation known as God realisation.
  • I discover my inner awareness is none other than God.
  • God is none other than my consciousness, none other than my inner Being.
  • God is pure unbounded awareness, knowable as my own Self, inseparable from my sense of “I am”.
  • The experiencer behind all experiences, including my experiences, is none other than God.
  • The reality of the consciousness I am is the one absolute reality that is God.
  • To know myself is to know God and vice versa.
  • God is being me.
  • God dwells in me, as me.
  • Some might say it is blasphemy to say “I am God”, but is it really?
  • The truth is that everything and everyone is God, for God is all there is.
.

God I am having a human experience

  • God I am experiencing life.
  • God I am looking through human eyes.
  • God is the one experiencing through the many, experiencing through all life forms, experiencing a universe of time and space.
  • My awareness is God’s awareness in action.
  • Each mind / body is a sensory portal for God to experience the world through.
  • God I am having a human experience, absorbed in the illusion of being a separate person.
  • God I am with temporary amnesia.
  • God I am but without full access to the spiritual power of my infinite Being.
.

God has created an infinite diversity of experience

  • God fine-tuned the universe to make life and experiencing possible.
  • God is experiencing through countless lives and life forms through countless different minds and modes of perception, experiencing the universe from countless different perspectives.
  • Through evolution on earth, God has evolved and diversified its capacity to experience through form through not just natural evolution, but technological evolution too.
  • Dreaming while asleep is yet another way experience is diversified.
  • If God is indeed experiencing lives, then no doubt God is also experiencing existences across countless other planes and realms.
.

Why and what is God experiencing through form?

  • If I were God, would I stand apart from my creation or dive right in and experience it first-hand?
  • God’s experience is likely about far, far more than a battle between good and evil or about needing praise and worship or obedience to strict laws or about needing company.
  • So what and why is God experiencing?
  • Some argue God’s purpose for experience cannot be known.
  • However, this need not stop us exploring possibilities as long as we use them as pointers and don’t turn them into rigid beliefs.
  • It seems highly possible that God is choosing to experience what God cannot experience as timeless, dimensionless, formless awareness and oneness.
.

Through experience in form, God is coming to rediscover and know Godself

  • Through us, God is coming to rediscover and know Godself.
  • Through us, God is making sense of the question “Who am I?”
  • Each of us is the Universe experiencing itself, becoming conscious of itself, coming to know and understand itself.
.

Through experience in form, God is turning pure potentiality into actual experience in order to actualise God’s limitless potential

  • Through experience, God is turning pure potentiality into actual experience and in so doing, actualising God’s infinite potential, through not just human beings but all living forms, through not just this universe but potentially countless others.
  • Evolution is one way God experiences God’s potential being realised in physical form.
  • Through experience in form, God is experiencing temporary limitation and its transcendence.
  • God is experiencing limitation through form and the transcendence of that limitation through natural evolution and then through technology, to the point where God is increasingly experiencing godlike abilities through the human form by upgrading our physical bodies and minds to create the potential for giant leaps in intelligence and cognitive ability and escape old age and death and attain extraordinary states of consciousness and virtual experiences including the potential for constant bliss.
  • There is also the possible creation of conscious non-organic beings without the limitations of organic forms.
.

Through experience in form, God is experiencing the joy of creating, expressing and exploring

  • God is creating through form.
  • God is expressing through form.
  • God is experiencing for the purpose of his enjoyment and delight.
  • In this sense, the universe exists as a kind of cosmic playground, a kind of cosmic drama to enjoy.
.

Through form, God is experiencing the exultation of adventure

  • This explains why the soul (God in us, as us) delights in adventure.
  • Through form, God is exploring the world and delighting in its beauty and wonder.
  • Through experience in form, God is experiencing a treasure hunt for truth and wisdom.
.

Through form, God is experiencing a treasure hunt for truth

  • Nothing reveals truth like direct experiencing.
  • Nothing creates understanding and wisdom like direct experiencing for experiencing turns knowledge and theory into actual experience, wisdom and understanding.
.

Through experience in form, God is experiencing spiritual awakening through humans, thereby coming to recognise and love itself

  • God is experiencing waking up to Itself through form, thus coming to find itself and coming to know and understand itself and coming to know itself as love.
  • Through human spiritual experiences, God is awakening from a temporary dream of separation, thereby rediscovering itself as the oneness in all and in so doing, there is the arising of unconditional love.
.

Through experience, God is playing a game of hide and seek, having temporarily forgotten Godself to find Godself

  • Through experience in form, God is experiencing what God is and what God is not.
  • To know what one is, one must also know what one is not.
.

Through experiences in a dimension of polarity and opposites, God is experiencing itself as the light in a world of light and dark

  • It takes darkness to experience being the light.
  • Polarity and duality is necessary for experiencing.
  • Imperfection is necessary for experiencing.
.

God is experiencing life on earth through all life forms, not just humans

  • Consciousness (inner experiencing) is by no means reserved only to humans.
  • All animals and even plants are aware.
  • God experiences through all living forms, enjoying a rich diversity of experience through different sensory organs and modes of perception.
.

God I am having many apparently separate, localised experiences; all part of one unified experience

  • God is a unified field; the field of all fields
  • God, the unified field, is the ultimate knower of all experience.
  • Each living form is a localised experience field for God to experience the world through.
  • Each experience field is a centre of perception and observation with a localised point of view, experiencing something different.
  • Each experience field seems separate from the rest with a limited field of knowing.
  • Each experience field is part of the unified field that is God experiencing through
  • Each experience field (individual mind) is part of the universal divine mind, a cross section of that mind.
  • Each experience field is a field of knowing, a localised field of consciousness within the greater awareness that is God.
  • The localised experience of each living creature represents a tiny part of the whole.
  • Each and every seemingly separate world is known by the one universal consciousness (God), all known by the universal mind, all illuminated and known by the one consciousness that is God.
  • The one consciousness therefore contains all the experiences being had by each and every living thing.
  • Together, all separate fields of knowing create one unified field of awareness and knowing.
  • In other words, all seemingly separate experiences combine to create one combined experience, one universal field of knowing, vast and epic beyond all imagination.
  • The combined experience of life is a kaleidoscope of indescribable profundity and wonder, a kind of symphony combined of seemingly separate notes, a kind of patchwork or mosaic, a kind of mandala or tapestry.
  • If God’s unified field of experiencing were an all-seeing eye, it would be a cosmic compound eye, a compound eye that sees all.
  • Each living being is a lens in that eye with its own unique point of view together creating a vision that is epic and kaleidoscopic.
  • What this means is that my experiences and your experiences, seemingly separate, are not.
  • All our experiences are part of a greater whole.
  • All our experiences are intimately connected.
  • Even within seemingly separate experience fields, we can sometimes sense how our experiences overlap and in certain circumstances and mind-states, the apparent boundaries between our experience fields can blur.
  • The blurring at the edges of experience fields is also evidenced by the existence of the collective unconscious.
  • Every experience matters for each experience is an irreplaceable part of the whole.
  • No experience is more or less important than any other for each experience is an irreplaceable part of the cosmic whole.
  • In the greater scheme of things, each experience field is seemingly insignificant, a drop in an immense ocean, yet every drop matters and counts for each drop is unique and vital to the whole; a whole that is infinite, epic and wondrous.
.

No experience is ever lost or forgotten

  • The experiences within each experience field are never lost or forgotten, continuing to exist as eternal and instantly retrievable memories in the divine mind.
.

Duality and the play of opposites exists to make experience possible

  • We live in a world of duality and opposites.
  • Without duality and polarity, there would be no experiencing and no balance.
  • Polarity greatly enriches experience.
  • Without polarity, experience would become tedious.
  • How meaningful would an experience be without the experience of its opposite?
  • What would the light be without the dark?
  • What would joy and happiness be without hardship and sorrow?
  • What would good be without evil?
  • Without duality and polarity, there would be no spiritual awakening or realisation.
  • Without polarity, there would be no flowering of consciousness.
  • Without polarity, there would be no expansion.
  • Without polarity, there would be no longing or desire.
  • Suffering and adversity have their roles to play.
  • Even evil has its role to play.
.

God is not only the experiencer but also the creator of all experience

  • God, the ultimate creator, creates all, creating from the fullness of joy, turning pure potentiality into actuality.
  • God is the ultimate author of all experience, creating captivating stories out of experiences.
  • Each and every experience is a manifestation of the consciousness that is God.
  • God, our divine Inner Being, manifests our experiences of the world including difficult and challenging experiences.
  • Each and every experience God creates has its role to play in the divine purpose
  • Each experience has its blessing to bestow
  • God manifests life experiences in real time, creating continually anew at every moment according to the current level of consciousness of the form so that our life experiences reflect our level of consciousness.
  • Each life experience is God’s virtual reality movie written and directed by God.
  • We can choose to embrace the appearance of free-will and free choice in the movie if we wish and in so doing, we can choose to see ourselves as the movie director of our lives and even the writer of its screenplay.
  • Or, if we prefer, we can see the movie of our lives as already being in the can.
  • By seeing the movie as already in the can, there is an opportunity to surrender completely to God, The Divine Director, of our lives.
  • Maybe the deepest and truest understanding is that the movie of our lives is not in the can. It is orchestrated on the fly.
  • The greater our awareness in the movie, the freer is the director to improvise beyond the script.
  • Even if we think of life as being a movie directed by God and already in the can, there is no reason why, within the movie, we can’t embrace the sense of being conscious agents when we wish to.
  • At other times, we can feel safe to surrender completely to the movie, letting God write and direct it.
  • The great paradox is that the deeper we rest in awareness during the movie, the more choice and possibility there appears to be.
.

How does God create experience?

  • Some would say God manifests our life experiences by dreaming them while others would say God consciously imagines them.
  • The world and our experiences in it exist as thoughts and vividly imagined ideas in God’s infinite mind.
  • The world is the mind of God imagining countless experiences through the unique reference points of countless seemingly separate minds.
  • There is no limit to what God can dream or imagine for God is the pure potentiality of infinite imagination.
  • The mind of God chooses to actualise universe to experience from an infinite number of potential universes, universes that provide the most worthwhile experiences and where the good outweighs the bad.
.

Maybe the experience of life is best described as God’s fully immersive, experiential work of art

  • We know that God is the ultimate artist.
  • Is it possible that God, by experiencing life through each living form, is creating the ultimate work of art; an adventurous, immersive, experiential work of art?
  • The subject matter of God’s art is the experience of life itself.
  • God has painted a world, and then stepped right into it to experience it first-hand through us.
  • God’s work of art could not be more experiential or more fully immersive and in so being, could not be more adventurous.
  • God, the artist, has a reputation for being aloof from his creations but perhaps the very opposite is true.
  • The truth is that God, the artist, is living and suffering through us, as us.
  • God, like all great artists, is willing to suffer for the sake of his art.
  • God’s work of art uses outer form to convey powerful inner experiences.
  • In so doing, God’s art sustains genuine interest, riveting the attention evoking every conceivable emotion.
  • God’s work of art asks probing questions without providing direct answers, existing to engage, challenge, provoke and even disturb, providing a catalyst for exploration, leading to profound discoveries.
  • In so doing, God’s art reveals the true meaning of things, the meaning of existence, the inward significance of outer things, meanings that are left hidden so each experiencer can construct their own, meanings that continually change and evolve with time.
  • God’s art is so provocative that it could even be seen as controversial by some.
  • God’s art uses both light and shade in order to create contrast.
  • Life is God creating the ultimate highlights reel.
  • Life is God creating a kaleidoscope of unimaginable wonder.
  • Life is God’s tapestry, and each life experience is a thread.
  • Life is God’s quilt.
  • Life is God’s mosaic and each life experience is a gem.
  • Life is God’s symphony and each life experience is a note.
  • Life is God’s painting, and each experience is a brush-stroke.
  • Life is God’s sculpture.
  • Life is God’s dance.
  • Life is God’s literature.
  • Life is God’s novel
  • All great art tells stories.
  • Each of us is God’s story.
  • Life is God’s poetry.
  • Life is God’s cinematic masterpiece.
  • Life is God’s play.
.

If God I Am having a human experience, what are the implications?

.

The purpose of my life is to experience it

  • The universe exists for a purpose and that purpose is to experience to allow God to experience and express through us, to awaken and experience ourselves as God and for God to know Godself through us, to experience limitation and its transcendence, thus becoming all we can be.
  • Our conscious awareness is sacred. It is God within us knowing experience.
  • Each of us is a unique perspective on the whole.
  • All experiences are valid and a necessary part of the whole, including unconscious and unpleasant ones.
  • Polarity is necessary for experience which explains why the world appears “imperfect”.
  • To experience what we are, we must also experience what we are not.
  • As vehicles for God’s experiencing, we are not separate from God.
.

I embrace all life’s experiences

  • Life is not something to transcend and escape but an experience to fully embrace
  • I embrace all the experiences of life, welcoming each experience without grasping or resistance, including experiences that appear unpleasant on the surface for difficult experiences are ideal for the evolution of consciousness and to help us learn and grow.
  • All experience is now so to truly embrace the experience of life, I must embrace the now with full awareness.
  • I embrace the experience of being fully alive.
  • I embrace the experience of being me and my capacity for unique experience.
  • I embrace both my dark and light sides.
  • I embrace new experiences.
  • I embrace inner experience.
  • I embrace duality and polarity.
  • I embrace the experience of being a separate self without overly identifying with it.
  • I embrace the experience of love.
  • I embrace the experience of beauty.
  • I embrace the experience of wonder.
  • I embrace the experience stillness.
  • I make my experiences worthy of being God’s experiences for they are.
  • By embracing experience, I grow in wisdom.
.

I trust in the flow of experiences, letting them come and go

  • I accept experiences as they arise without the need to constantly judge and evaluate.
  • The awareness I am is inherently open to all experience.
  • I let experiences come and go, without grasping or resisting.
  • Knowing that all experiences pass, I don’t hang onto experience.
  • I trust in the flow of experiences as they unfold, knowing all is as it is meant to be
  • I realise every experience is valid and perfect.
  • I realise I am being exactly as I am meant to be for each experience to be what it is
  • To know all this is to enter a state of surrender and ease.
  • Realising each experience is a tiny yet essential and irreplaceable part of the whole…
  • …I am able to transcend both shame and pride.
  • This also helps me to let go of any inclination to judge the experiences of others.
.

I fully embrace being human

  • I easily fall into the trap of trying to become perfect like God yet the truth is God wants to experience being human through me.
  • I am an unlimited spiritual being specifically here to have a limited human experience
  • I embrace the experience of being human.
  • …and yet am also aware of my divinity and spiritual power.
  • Paradoxically, the more I embrace my humanness, the more my divinity shines and flows through me.
.

I come to realise the power and potential inherent in my true nature

  • My purpose is to realise God within myself, to realise my oneness with God, to realise the immensity of what I am, to realise the unlimited potential and possibility I carry within me, to realise the inherent inner power of my true nature, the power inherent in the awareness I am.
  • Life is about accessing this inner power and transcending my temporary limits
  • I access spiritual power by raising my state of consciousness by resting in and connecting to inner being which is none other than God’s infinite being.
  • By expanding my state of consciousness, I harness the power to transform my reality and solve all problems.
  • Expanding my state of consciousness is the true path to spiritual growth.
  • Life brings experiences to help me do this.
  • I also access spiritual power through radical humility.
.

By recognising my oneness with all, love and compassion naturally arise

  • My consciousness and your consciousness are one consciousness.
  • There is no separation between us or between any living being.
  • We are all the one universal consciousness that is God having different experiences through us.
  • There is only God here and any thought otherwise is God’s illusion.
  • The recognition of this oneness gives rise to love.
  • Love is to know everyone and everything as God.
  • The recognition of oneness gives rise to right action.
  • The recognition of oneness gives rise to compassion in the realisation that all suffering is God suffering as “us”, suffering that happens for a noble purpose.
  • I have compassion for unconscious behaviour knowing it is God caught up in a kind of nightmare.
.

I rest as the awareness I am through meditation and mindfulness

  • To rest in awareness is to abide in my true nature as God’s infinite being
  • I rest as awareness knowingly, resting my attention in its source, paying attention to my true self, even in the midst of thought.
  • I rest in awareness in the midst of stillness through meditation
  • I also rest in awareness in the midst of experience, through mindfulness.
  • My very purpose is to live in a state of awareness.
  • I rest in awareness, then allow attention to flow free where it wishes.
  • Through the power of conscious attention, I am able to shape any experience I have.
.

I surrender all sense of agency and allow divine intelligence to run this life

  • I surrender all notion of being a separate self.
  • I identify as universal consciousness (God having an experience through the temporary form I take).
  • I realise there is ultimately no separate self that is the doer of actions.
  • I realise all is just happening as in a dream.
  • I surrender all sense of being an active agent.
  • I allow thoughtless, choiceless awareness to take over the running of “my” life.
  • I surrender all sense of being a doer and allow God to perform actions through me.
  • I allow God to direct and manage my life.
  • I surrender all illusion of being a chooser and allow universal intelligence to make choices through me in choiceless awareness.
  • In a state of presence, I allow all doing and choosing to arise spontaneously…
  • …recognising God as the ultimate cause of all things.
  • Freedom is to sit back in the seat of awareness and allow life to live through me.
  • Freedom is to realise that everything in the universe is determined by God who is none other than my own Inner Being.
  • Surrendering all illusion of agency creates a deeper level of awareness which paradoxically brings the appearance of greater freedom of choice.
  • At other times, I can choose to embrace and enjoy a sense of agency.
  • In this mode of consciousness, I can choose to see myself as a co-creator with God.
.

Through surrender, I become a vehicle for God (I am) to experience, express and create through

  • The surrendered body-mind is a vehicle for God within to experience and express through
  • I allow God to live in me as me, allowing God to experience and explore through the form I take, allowing God to create through me, allowing God to express through me.
  • I become an instrument or vehicle for God.
  • I become the eyes of God and the hands of God and the ears and voice of God.
  • I allow God to use the mind.
  • The purer I become, the more God is able to be God through me.
  • The more I surrender, the more God can do through me.
  • The more I awaken, the more God’s power flows through me.
  • I surrender and allow God’s will to be done through me.
  • I allow universal intelligence to take over my life and bless the world.
.

I find happiness and peace, not in objective experience, but by going to the root of experience

  • The primary motivation of the separate self is the search for peace and happiness.
  • The longing for peace and happiness is consciousness seeking itself, longing for itself
  • I come to realise that lasting happiness and peace cannot be found in objective experience but by letting go of craving and desire and turning the attention inwards to the root of all experience, resting deeply in awareness, my true nature, beyond all thought of “me” in a state of oneness with all, thereby raising my state of consciousness.
  • Happiness is ever-present as awareness in the background of experience.
  • Happiness is to be found in realising what I truly am (the Self) and knowing tha; in the knowing of my own being.
  • Happiness and peace is the presence of consciousness.
  • Happiness is therefore to be found not without but within me.
  • Happiness is my very nature and my natural state.
.

The ultimate human experience: Awakening to who I really am

  • The consciousness I am (God) longs to know itself through me.
  • Self-realisation is to wake up to who I really am.
  • My purpose is to come to know myself as the divine being that I am.
  • As universal consciousness, God is not an object of experience but the eternal subject of all experience.
  • God, my inner Being, can be known through resting deeply in being, as being, in a state of pure awareness, as awareness, resting in the deep sense “I am” at the root of all experience, through the practice of meditation and self-enquiry
  • In this way, God can be known as an intimate, personal experience, an experience beyond words and beliefs, an experience of intuitive knowing, a truly transcendent experience.
  • Knowing God as an experience in this way is a sublime and sacred experience.
  • By coming to know the nature of the consciousness (I am), I come to know the true nature of God.
  • Self-realisation is not about escaping life but embracing life.
.

I come to realise death is an illusion for the consciousness I am cannot die

  • It’s natural to fear death but there is no need to.
  • The body-mind is merely a temporary vehicle through which consciousness experiences the world.
  • The death of a body-mind is simply the ceasing of experiencing through that vehicle.
  • The consciousness I am does not share the limits of the body-mind.
  • Consciousness is not a product of the brain.
  • The consciousness that I am is beyond the body that lives and dies.
  • The consciousness I am is ever present and timeless, ever-present in all states including deep sleep.
  • The consciousness I am has experienced every experience since the beginning of time.
  • Existing in a timeless dimension, the consciousness I am is eternal.
  • The consciousness I am was not born and does not die.
  • The consciousness I am continues after death.
  • The consciousness I am cannot be harmed, threatened or diminished.
  • Therefore, I am inherently safe.
  • Death is an illusion.
  • To know this is to transcend the fear of death.
  • Death is merely a shedding of the body.
  • Death is a shedding of illusion and limitations.
  • The body-mind is like a whirlpool on the surface of consciousness.
  • When the whirlpool ceases, the water (consciousness) remains.
  • When the wave on the ocean surface subsides, the ocean remains.
  • Death is the end of a localised experience field in consciousness, yet the Unified Field of consciousness remains.
  • The experiences experienced through the body-mind are recorded for eternity as memories in the universal mind.
