How amazing it is that we find ourselves alive in a conscious universe. Not only that, but universe also shows every sign of having been fine-tuned for life to exist. Constants create order in nature and these constants show every sign of being fine-tuned for life. 

The apparent fine-tuning of the universe creates a bewildering riddle. No major scientist today claims that the fine tuning was purely a result of chance factors at work as the probabilities are just too small for this to be possible.
Some maintain that the fine-tuning indicates that there must be an infinite number of universes with different laws. However, there are strong arguments against the multiverse hypothesis. The multiverse hypothesis still does not explain where the laws of physics come from. The multiverse hypothesis is not testable.

Others argue that the fine-tuning of the universe is proof of intelligent and deliberate design and that the fine-tuning is proof of God. God, if God exists, is a genius mathematician.

The belief in intelligent design is not a belief in creationism for intelligent design is compatible with theories of evolution. The apparent fine-tuning of the universe creates the very real possibility of science pointing to God. God, if God exists, is revealed in the harmony and order of the universe.

The apparent fine-tuning of the universe indicates that the universe has a purpose which includes the existence of life.

God and the multiverse hypothesis could easily co-exist. Some argue the laws of the universe have been designed to create the most interesting of all possible universes. And if God created at least one universe, why wouldn’t God have created many?

It must be mentioned that everything about the earth is also exquisitely fine-tuned for life but this could be explained by the immense number of planets in the universe.
