We are one with the universe from an energy perspective

.

The universe is energy…

  • The visible world is the invisible organization of energy. Heinz Pagels
  • Energy is the inherent capacity of the universe to make matter exist. Kedar Joshi
  • The universe is energy, energy that responds to our expectations. James Redfield
  • The universe and everything in it is energy. In the beginning and in the end is energy. Flora A. Keshgegian
  • All the energy in the universe is evenly present in all places at the same time. We don’t get energy, we release energy. Bob Proctor
  • The Universe is one indivisible, dynamic whole in which energy and matter are so deeply entangled it is impossible to consider them as independent elements. Bruce H. Lipton
  • Physicists abandoned their belief in a Newtonian, material universe because they had come to realize that the universe is not made of matter suspended in empty space but energy. Bruce H. Lipton
  • Nothing remains the same from one moment to the next, you can’t step into the same river twice. Life–evolution–the whole universe of space/time, matter/energy–existence itself–is essentially change. Ursula K. Le Guin
  • The basic stuff of the universe, at its core, is looking like a kind of pure energy that is malleable to human intention and expectation in a way that defies our old mechanistic model of the universe–as though our expectation itself causes our energy to flow out into the world and affect other energy systems. James Redfield
  • We are beginning to see the entire universe as a holographically interlinked network of energy and information, organically whole and self referential at all scales of its existence. We, and all things in the universe, are non-locally connected with each other and with all other things in ways that are unfettered by the hitherto known limitations of space and time. Ervin Laszlo
  • The fact that energy and matter are one and the same is precisely what Einstein recognized when he concluded that E = mc2. Simply stated, this equation reveals that energy (E) = matter (m, mass) multiplied by the speed of light squared (c2). Einstein revealed that we do not live in a universe with discrete, physical objects separated by dead space. The Universe is one indivisible, dynamic whole in which energy and matter are so deeply entangled it is impossible to consider them as independent elements. Bruce H. Lipton

  • If you think of the universe as a vast electrical sea in which you are immersed and from which you are formed, opening to your creativity, changes you from something bobbing in that sea to a more fully functioning, more conscious, more cooperative part of that ecosystem. Julia Cameron
  • …the basic stuff of the universe, at its core, is looking like a kind of pure energy that is malleable to human intention and expectation in a way that defies our old mechanistic model of the universe–as though our expectation itself causes our energy to flow out into the world and affect other energy systems. James Redfield
  • I got fascinated by the idea that our universe itself is comprised mostly of dark matter and dark energy. Things that we can’t perceive at all, and we’ve only discovered that relatively recently. So it’s almost as if our universe is the foam on the ocean of things that we can’t see, or know, or perceive, and yet we feel the affects of those things right and left. Scott Snyder
.

  • We are all one Energy Stream, but what makes the separations or distinguishes the differences is perspective. You are a unique and individual perspective. Esther Hicks
  • At our most elemental, we are not a chemical reaction, but an energetic charge. Human beings and all living things are a coalescence of energy in a field of energy connected to every other thing in the world. This pulsating energy field is the central engine of our being and our consciousness, the alpha and the omega of our existence. Lynne McTaggart
.

We are the energy of the universe in action

  • Basically, there is simply nothing to worry about, because you yourself are the eternal energy of the universe. Alan Watts
.

As energy forms, we can be said to be inseparable from the universe like waves in one ocean of energy

  • You, yourself, are the eternal energy which appears as this Universe. You didn’t come into this world; you came out of it. Like a wave from the ocean. Alan Watts.
  • We live as ripples of energy in the vast ocean of energy. Deepak Chopra
  • Just as a wave is a movement of the whole ocean, you are the energy of the cosmos. Don’t underestimate your power. Deepak Chopra

  • We should be thankful and loving because everything we interact with is ultimately interconnected as One Mind or One Spirit, being illusory projections of the One energy that many people label as “God.” Ziad Masri
  • It’s all One thing—an ocean of energy that collapses into seemingly separate forms that we call stars and planets and animals and trees and human beings, giving them the temporary illusion of solidity and separation from their purely energetic source. Ziad Masri
  • One energy field…. We are the infinite field of unfolding possibilities. The creative force.  Rhonda Byrne
  • The energy of the stars becomes us. We become the energy of the stars. Stardust and spirit unite and we begin: one with the universe, whole and holy. From one source, endless creative energy, bursting forth, kinetic, elemental; we, the earth, air, water and fire-source of nearly fifteen billion years of cosmic spiraling. Dennis Kucinich
  • Zen is really extraordinarily simple as long as one doesn’t try to be cute about it or beat around the bush! Zen is simply the sensation and the clear understanding … that there is behind the multiplicity of events and creatures in this universe simply one energy — and it appears as you, and everything is it. The practice of Zen is to understand that one energy so as to “feel it in your bones. Alan Watts
  • Scientifically, I know beginnings don’t exist. The world is made of energy, which is neither created nor destroyed. Everything she is was here before me. Everything she was will remain. Her existence touches both my past and my future at one point—infinity. Lifelines aren’t lines at all. They’re more like circles. It’s safe to start anywhere and the story will curve its way back to the starting point. Eventually. In other words, it doesn’t matter where I begin. It doesn’t change the end. Shannon Lee
  • To know that you are God is another way of saying that you feel completely with this universe. You feel profoundly rooted in it and connected with it. You feel, in other words, that the whole energy, which expresses itself in the galaxies, is intimate. It is not something to which you are a stranger, but it is that with which you, whatever it is, are intimately bound up. That in your seeing, your hearing, your talking, your thinking, your moving, you express that which it is that moves the sun and other stars. Alan Watts
.

When we sense how we will become one with the universe when we die…

  • They alone live whose lives are in the whole universe, and the more we concentrate our lives on limited things, the faster we go towards death. Those moments alone we live when our lives are in the universe, in others; and living this little life is death, simply death, and that is why the fear of death comes. Swami Vivekananda

  • You are not just a meaningless fragment in an alien universe, briefly suspended between life and death, allowed a few short-lived pleasures followed by pain and ultimate annihilation. Eckhart Tolle
.

…we can let go of the fear of death

  • The unbroken realization that you are indivisible from the universe, from universal consciousness, from the source of everything – that you are that source, that there is no other, no second, nothing that is not part of that unity, except as transitory illusion. If you could maintain that realization at all times, through waking and sleeping states of consciousness, across the threshold of death itself, what would you be? Daniel Pinchbeck
  • When you do not realize that you are one with the river, or one with the universe, you have fear. Whether it is separated into drops or not, water is water. Our life and death are the same thing. When we realize this fact, we have no fear of death anymore. Shunryu Suzuki
.

We are one with the universe from a consciousness perspective

.

The universe is made of consciousness

  • All speech, action and behavior are fluctuations of consciousness. All life emerges from, and is sustained in, consciousness. The whole universe is the expression of consciousness. The reality of the universe is one unbounded ocean of consciousness in motion. Maharishi Mahesh Yogi
  • The Universe is a mirror of consciousness. Deepak Chopra
  • The physical universe that you see is all in your mind. When you turn your mind off, or become unconscious, the physical universe, for you, disappears. Then, when you awaken your consciousness, the universe reappears magically. Quite simple really – no thoughts on your part, no physical world. As Walt Whitman succinctly stated: “The whole theory of the universe is directed unerringly to one single individual – namely to You.” Without your mind to process it, the universe simply disappears into nothingness. Wayne Dyer
  • Infinite worlds appear and disappear in the wide expanse of my consciousness, like notes of dust dancing in a heaven of light. Sanskrit.
  • Is stillness just the absence of noise and content? No, it is intelligence itself — the underlying consciousness out of which every form is born. And how could that be separate from who you are? The form that you think you are came out of that and is being sustained by it. It is the essence of all galaxies and blades of grass; of all flowers, trees, birds, and all other forms. Eckhart Tolle
  • here is only one consciousness pervading the Universe and each of us is like a window through which that consciousness manifests itself. Bernard Haisch
  • The reality of matter is secondary to that of consciousness, which itself is the ground of all being—including matter. Amit Goswami
  • If consciousness is the basis of reality, then it is plausible that a transcendent consciousness is the underlying cause of the Universe. Bernard Haisch
.

Consciousness, not matter, is the primary fabric of the universe

  • Instead of positing that everything (including consciousness) is made of matter, this philosophy posits that everything (including matter) exists in and is manipulated from consciousness. Amit Goswami
  • Consciousness is not an emergent property, but elementary and preceding energy/matter, and it is consciousness which gives meaning to the universe. Scott Owen
  • Consciousness is the ground of all being. Amit Goswami, Ph.D
  • Consciousness comes first; it is the ground of all being. Everything else, including matter, is a possibility of consciousness. And consciousness chooses out of these possibilities all the events we experience. Amit Goswami
  • I regard consciousness as fundamental. I regard matter as derivative from consciousness. We cannot get behind consciousness. Everything that we talk about, everything that we regard as existing, postulates consciousness. Planck
  • Consciousness is the primary stuff of reality. Consciousness is able to shape and direct matter. Consciousness, in fact, has created this universe—the planets and stars, the plants and animals, and you and me. This is not accomplished by the kind of miraculous construction-out-of-nothing beloved by fundamentalists, but rather by an infinite intelligence dreaming up an infinite variety of laws and values for physical constants, and then letting those laws and values evolve into the stars and planets and life forms of an infinite number of universes. Bernard Haisch
.

We too are made of consciousness

  • Who are you? Consciousness that has become conscious of itself. Eckhart Tolle
  • We are each individuated manifestations of an infinite consciousness. Bernard Haisch

  • Each individual has to know himself. He has to know himself as the infinite, eternal and immortal Consciousness. Sri Chinmoy
  • Consciousness identifies itself exclusively with a body/mind in order to enjoy and suffer what that has to offer. Rupert Spira

  • When the mind has settled, we are established in our essential nature, which is unbounded Consciousness. Our essential nature is usually overshadowed by the activity of the mind. Patanjali
.

The universe is nothing but consciousness knowing consciousness

  • From the perspective of the vastness, the other does not exist. When the vastness sees everything out of itself to be made of itself, this is the ultimate intimacy. the moment to moment flavour of the vastness undulating within itself as it perceives itself through every particle of itself everywhere brings a love that is limitless, far surpassing anything that the mind could construct as the ideal love itself.  Suzanne Segal
  • From the point of view of Consciousness (if Consciousness can be said to have a point of view) there is just ‘one thing.’ And what is that ‘one thing?’ Itself! It doesn’t see or know objects, others, the world etc. It sees or knows only itself. Rupert Spira
  • The beauty of creation and the awareness that appreciates it are both God –immanent yet transcendent –fully present in each moment, forever. James C. Wilhelm
  • There are no entities, parts, objects or others anywhere to be found in experience. There is simply experiencing – thinking-imagining-sensing-perceiving – whose entire substance is made out of the Consciousness that knows it, just as the entire substance of the image is made out of the screen on which it appears. Rupert Spira
  • Whatever happens, happens to you by you, through you; you are the creator, enjoyer and destroyer of all you perceive. Nisargadatta Maharaj
  • Consciousness is that in which all experience appears, with which all experience is known and out of which all experience is made. Rupert Spira
.

The multiplicity of separate objects and selves we perceive is an illusion arising in the one consciousness

  • Consciousness is a singular of which the plural is unknown. There is only one thing and that which seems to be a plurality is merely a series of different aspects of this one thing, produced by a deception, the Indian maya, as in a gallery of mirrors. Erwin Schrodinger
  • The plurality that we perceive is only an appearance; it is not real. Vedantic philosophy… has sought to clarify it by a number of analogies, one of the most attractive being the many-faceted crystal which, while showing hundreds of little pictures of what is in reality a single existent object, does not really multiply that object. Erwin Schrodinger
  • This life of yours which you are living is not merely a piece of this entire existence, but in a certain sense the whole; only this whole is not so constituted that it can be surveyed in one single glance. This, as we know, is what the Brahmins express in that sacred, mystic formula which is yet really so simple and so clear; tat tvam asi, this is you. Or, again, in such words as “I am in the east and the west, I am above and below, I am this entire world. Erwin Schrodinger
  • The multiplicity is only apparent. This is the doctrine of the Upanishads. And not of the Upanishads only. The mystical experience of the union with God regularly leads to this view, unless strong prejudices stand in the way. Erwin Schrodinger
  • The fundamental delusion of humanity is to suppose that I am here and you are out there. Yasutani Roshi
.

The universe is one being and we are that

  • The Universe is a communion of subjects rather than a collection of objects. Thomas Berry
  • The universe is one being. Everything and everyone is interconnected through an invisible web of stories. Elif Safak
  • The universe is one being. Think about your own consciousness and then try to imagine that the universe is one infinite consciousness . A type of being that’s barely conceivable to us – one infinite, ever changing and expanding consciousness. This creator is known by many as ‘God’. Each of us is a point of individualized consciousness belonging to this whole. Each spirit is a focal point of energy within this infinite mind – each like the branch of a tree, part of the whole. We are each part of the universal creator, the infinite being of unending consciousness and love, that experiences itself through us. Each of us is a unique individual, and this uniqueness is not removed by being part of one unified whole – far from it. Our purpose is to be individual and unique.  Nicky Sutton
  • …all things are one thing and that one thing is all things—plankton, a shimmering phosphorescence on the sea and the spinning planets and an expanding universe, all bound together by the elastic string of time. John Steinbeck
  • Ultimately, the entire universe…has to be understood as a single undivided whole. David Bohm
  • The universe is truly Brahman, … for that which is superimposed (the universe) has no separate existence from its substratum (Brahman). …. The name, “universe,” is superimposed on Brahman, but what we call the “universe” is [really] nothing but Brahman. (Adi Shankaracharya) Shankara
  • Without It, the fairest universe is but a randomly scattered dust-heap. If we are to speak with intelligence, we must found our being on that which is common to all… For that Logos which governs man is born of the One, which is Divine. It [the Divine] governs the universe by Its will, and is more than sufficient to everyone. Heraclitus
  • You are the omniscient, omnipresent being of the universe. But of such beings can there be many? Can there be a hundred thousand millions of omnipresent beings? Certainly not. Then, what becomes of us all? You are only one; there is only one such Self, and that One Self is you. Standing behind this little nature is what we call the Soul. There is only One Being, One Existence, the ever-blessed, the omnipresent, the omniscient, the birthless, deathless. Vivekananda
.

  • Consider your own place in the universal oneness of which we are all a part, from which we all arise, and to which we all return. David Fontana
  • We didn’t arise from the universe. We don’t even merely express the cosmos. We are it. Its air and water is our being and we do not live without its inseparability with us. Robert Lanza
  • It’s difficult to believe in yourself because the idea of self is an artificial construction. You are, in fact, part of the glorious oneness of the universe. Everything beautiful in the world is within you.  Russell Brand
  • At the deepest level of ecological awareness you are talking about spiritual awareness. Spiritual awareness is an understanding of being imbedded in a larger whole, a cosmic whole, of belonging to the universe. Fritjof Capra
  • The little space within the heart is as great as the vast universe. The heavens and the earth are there, and the sun and the moon and the stars. Fire and lightening and winds are there, and all that now is and all that is not. Upanishads
  • I am part of the sun as my eye is part of me, That I am part of the earth my feet know perfectly, and my blood is part of the sea… There is nothing of me that is alone and absolute, except my mind, and we shall find that the mind has no existence by itself, it is only the glitter of the sun on the surface of the waters. D. H. Lawrence
  • The first peace, which is the most important, is that which comes within the souls of people when they realize their relationship, their oneness with the universe and all its powers, and when they realize that at the center of the universe dwells the Great Spirit, and that this center is really everywhere, it is within each of us. Black Elk
  • I look up at the night sky, and I know that, yes, we are part of this Universe, we are in this Universe, but perhaps more important than both of those facts is that the Universe is in us. When I reflect on that fact, I look up—many people feel small, because they’re small and the Universe is big, but I feel big, because my atoms came from those stars. Neil deGrasse Tyson
  • Do not stand at my grave and weep , I am not there. I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow. I am the diamond glints on snow.  I am the sunlight on ripened grain.  I am the gentle autumn rain.  When you awaken in the morning’s hush  I am the swift uplifting rush  Of quiet birds in circled flight.  I am the soft stars that shine at night.  Do not stand at my grave and cry;  I am not there. I did not die.  Mary Elizabeth Frye
  • A human being is a part of the whole called by us universe, a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings as something separated from the rest, a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty. Albert Einstein
  • Say I Am You I am dust particles in sunlight. I am the round sun. To the bits of dust I say, Stay. To the sun, Keep moving. I am morning mist, and the breathing of evening. am wind in the top of a grove, and surf on the cliff. Mast, rudder, helmsman, and keel, I am also the coral reef they founder on. I am a tree with a trained parrot in its branches. Silence, thought, and voice. The musical air coming through a flute, a spark of a stone, a flickering in metal. Both candle and the moth crazy around it. Rose, and the nightingale lost in the fragrance. I am all orders of being, the circling galaxy, the evolutionary intelligence, the lift, and the falling away. What is, and what isn’t. You who know Jelaluddin, You the one in all, say who I am. Say I am You.  Rumi
  • The universe, all that is, exists only here, in me. My senses constantly generate an objective reality that appears outside myself, designed by me to show me who I am. It’s a beautiful story, all of this, woven by me and by you to describe the arc of a life that goes on without beginning or end. Everything we experience reveals to us our unified oneness with each other and our true identity as the creator gods that we are. That revelation is the ultimate purpose of the universe and our lives here on earth. Everything we’ve been told and all the stories we have made up about our jobs, our investments, and our eventual retirements are proximate fantasies designed to lead us to an understanding of our ultimate identities. This is a cooperative effort, created by all of us together, as we harmonize with each other on a level that remains hidden from our sight. When we tune our vision to the one vibration that we all are, we see with clarity that we are all in this together. Until we collectively realize this unity, we will continue to function separately, missing the peace available to us right now. And the tuning is so simple it would be a disgrace to miss it any longer. James C Wilhelm

… and one with the world …

  • Are not the mountains, waves and skies, a part of me and of my soul, as I of them? Lord Byron
  • If you will think of ourselves as coming out of the earth, rather than having been thrown in here from somewhere else, you see that we are the earth, we are the consciousness of the earth. These are the eyes of the Earth. And this is the voice of the earth. Joseph Campbell
  • Standing alone on a mountain top, it is easy to realize that whatever special nests we make–leaves and moss like the marmots and birds, or tents of piled stone– we all dwell in a house of one room. John Muir
  • We all drink from one water. We all breathe from one air. We rise from one ocean. And we live under one sky. Anwar Fazal
.

… one with all living things

  • We’re no different from the plants, we’re no better. We’re all part of the whole, and everything–a grain of sand, dirt, the birds and the animals–they are all part of us. Rolling Thunder
.

We are all created from the same substance

  • All things are linked with one another, and this oneness is sacred; there is nothing that is not interconnected with everything else. For things are interdependent, and they combine to form this universal order. There is only one universe made up of all things, and one creator who pervades them; there is one substance and one law, namely, common reason in all thinking creatures, and all truth is one- -if, as we believe, there is only one path of perfection for all beings who share the same mind.  Marcus Aurelius
  • I celebrate myself, and sing myself, And what I assume you shall assume, For every atom belonging to me as good belongs to you. Walt Whitman
  • Everything in Nature contains all the powers of Nature. Everything is made of one hidden stuff. Ralph Waldo Emerson
  • A hydrogen atom in a cell at the end of my nose was once part of an elephant’s trunk. A carbon atom in my cardiac muscle was once in the tail of a dinosaur. Jostein Gaarder
  • Recognize that the very molecules that make up your body, the atoms that construct the molecules, are traceable to the crucibles that were once the centers of high mass stars that exploded their chemically rich guts into the galaxy, enriching pristine gas clouds with the chemistry of life. So that we are all connected to each other biologically, to the earth chemically and to the rest of the universe atomically. That’s kinda cool! That makes me smile and I actually feel quite large at the end of that. It’s not that we are better than the universe, we are part of the universe. We are in the universe and the universe is in us. Neil deGrasse Tyson
  • Since We have created you all from one same substance it is incumbent on you to be even as one soul, to walk with the same feet, eat with the same mouth and dwell in the same land, that from your inmost being, by your deeds and actions, the signs of oneness and the essence of detachment may be made manifest. Such is My counsel to you, O concourse of light! Bahá’u’lláh
  • The cosmos is within us. We are made of star stuff Carl Sagan
  • With the realisation that everything was made of the same substance, relationships ceased to exist, since there was no longer any experience of an other. Without an other, there was simply nothing separate to be related to. Of course, the relational function continued as before, and it always looked like relationships were proceeding unimpaired. Suzanne Segal

All comes from the same source …

  • All life, all energy comes from one source. We are all connected – period. It doesn’t merely extend to those we deem likeable or those who believe what we do etc. We all come from the same source and are living expressions of the divine. We must learn to recognize the divinity that is within all things and respect it. Christin Sander
  • Nobody has a heart with separate batteries- they all have the same source. Jesus Martinez
  • Within you lies the sun, the moon, the sky and all the wonders of this universe. The intelligence that created these wonders is the same force that created you. All things around you come from the same source. We are all one. Every being on this Earth, every object on this Earth has a soul. All souls flow into one, this is the Soul of the Universe. Robin S. Sharma
  • We are all manifestations of The One Source. God is the formless essence of all life that you are. Eckhart Tolle
  • All beings come from a mother’s womb. We should have a clear realization of the oneness of all humanity. The Dalai Lama

… the one singularity

  • The universe is the singularity evolving into complex forms. Tim Freke
  • What is the singularity? We could say it’s the primal oneness that has evolved into the multifarious variety of life. The fundamental simplicity which is the source of the astonishing complexity of the universe. The nothing which contained the potential for everything. Tim Freke
  • If everything has come from the singularity, essentially everything is the singularity. Tim Freke
  • You and I are the singularity looking at itself… thinking about itself… confused about itself. Tim Freke
  • Do you sometimes want to wake up to the singularity we once were? Marie Howe
  • What is the singularity? We could say it’s the primal oneness that has evolved into the multifarious variety of life. The fundamental simplicity which is the source of the astonishing complexity of the universe. The nothing which contained the potential for everything. Tim Freke

Space and distance are illusions

  • The shortest interval between two points is the awareness that they are not two. Eric Micha’el Leventhal
  • Space and time are not the hard, cold walls we think. Our individual separateness is an illusion. Ultimately we are all melted together, parts of a single entity that transcends space and time. Robert Lanza
.

In oneness, everything effects everything else

  • Science is all about cause. Now, if really everything is connected to everything, if there really is only a oneness, everything then affects everything, and the whole idea of causality has to be revised. Willis Harman
  • Seeking out causes is a pastime of the mind. There is no duality of cause and effect. Everything is its own cause. Nisargadatta Maharaj

Through us, the universe is coming to know itself …

  • We are the universe pretending to be individuals. Deepak Chopra
  • I love to think of the whole universe together as one eternal fact. I love to think that everything is alive; that crystallization is itself a step toward joy. I love to think that when a bud bursts into blossom: it feels a thrill. I love to have the universe full of feeling and full of joy, and not full of simple dead, inert matter, managed by an old bachelor for all eternity. Robert Green Ingersoll
  • The Universe is a unity, an interacting and genetically-related community of beings bound together in an inseparable relationship in space and time… The human is that being in whom the Universe activates, reflects upon, and celebrates itself in conscious self-awareness. Thomas Berry
  • There, all around you and within you, is Life. Look and see what it is, look and see that beneath and beyond that small package of human fears and desires called you-the-person there lurks the splendor and magnificence of the cosmos itself, by whatever name you prefer to call IT. Each of these human lives that we so fearfully protect are simply another novel variation of the game of finding one’s Self over and over in countless disguises. Roger Stephens
  • Source not only resides in us, but is Us. Source, God, Universe, whatever your choice of Name is, it’s all the same. In the inception of the Universe, Source became curious and chose to make Itself vulnerable to the experiences of Its choosing. Whether it was living in pure energy, or living as solid matter as we see It, plant, animal, insect, human, and yes even inanimate objects. Hillis Pugh
  • The fundamental motif at the heart of many ancient myths is that the primal oneness of being is manifesting as the multiplicity of life, so that it can come to know itself. As the Gnostic sage Simon Magus says in ‘The Great Announcement’: There is one power… begetting itself, increasing itself, seeking itself, finding itself… One root of the All. Tim Freke
  • The scientific story of the evolving cosmos is a new version of this ancient myth. It relates how the oneness of unconscious nature has become conscious of itself through evolving into ever more complex forms, until it reaches the human form in which it is conscious of being conscious. Tim Freke
.

… coming to rediscover its oneness

  • The primal oneness of unconscious awareness is arising as separate centres of consciousness, because through these centres of consciousness it can come to know that all is one. Life is on a journey from unconscious oneness through conscious separateness to conscious oneness. Tim Freke

The oneness of the universe from a physics perspective

.

Physics reveals the oneness of the universe

  • All science, is the reduction of multiplicities to unities. Aldous Huxley
  • I believe that the Universe is one being, all its parts are different expressions of the same energy, and they are all in communication with each other, therefore parts of one organic whole. Robinson Jeffers
  • In modern physics, the universe is experienced as a dynamic inseparable whole which always includes the observer in an essential way. Fritjof Capra
  • No longer in a relational universe can we study anything as separate from ourselves. Our acts of observation are part of the process that brings forth the manifestation of what we are observing. Margaret J. Wheatley
  • Although particles such as electrons appear to be separate from one another, on a deeper level of reality — a level analogous to the aquarium — they are actually just different aspects of a deeper cosmic unity. David Bohm
  • This is the awe-inspiring universe of magic: There are no atoms, only waves and motions all around. Here, you discard all belief in barriers to understanding. You put aside understanding itself. This universe cannot be seen, cannot be heard, cannot be detected in any way by fixed perceptions. It is the ultimate void where no preordained screens occur upon which forms may be projected. You have only one awareness here—the screen of the magi: Imagination! Here, you learn what it is to be human. You are a creator of order, of beautiful shapes and systems, an organizer of chaos. Frank Herbert
  • Bohm believes an electron is not one thing but a totality or ensemble enfolded throughout the whole of space. Michael Talbot
  • Wave particle duality is a core feature of our world. Or rather, we should say, it is a core feature of our mathematical descriptions of our world. But what is critical to note here is that, however ambiguous our images, the universe itself remains whole and is manifestly not fracturing into schizophrenic shards. It is this tantalizing wholeness and the thing itself that drives physicists onward like an eternally beckoning light that seems so teasingly near. It is always out of reach. Margaret Wertheim
  • The essential characteristics of transpersonal experiences — the feeling that ail boundaries are illusory, the lack of distinction between part and whole, and the interconnectedness of all things — are all qualities one would expect to find in a holographic universe. Michael Talbot
.

… especially quantum theory

  • Quantum physics thus reveals a basic oneness of the universe. Erwin Schrodinger
  • Quantum theory thus reveals a basic oneness of the universe. It shows that we cannot decompose the world into independently existing smallest units. As we penetrate into matter, nature does not show us any isolated “building blocks,” but rather appears as a complicated web of relations between the various parts of the whole. These relations always include the observer in an essential way. The human observer constitute the final link in the chain of observational processes, and the properties of any atomic object can be understood only in terms of the object’s interaction with the observer. Fritjof Capra
  • Many of the mysteries of quantum mechanics, including the well-known “skeleton in the closet,” are answered. For example, what Einstein called “spooky action” at a distance is explained by the oneness of all things. There is no information being transmitted between photon or electron pairs. Information, photons, electrons and everything else in creation are all the same stuff (thought) so what one entangled entity “knows,” its twin “knows” in the same instant. Sir James Jeans
  • Through experiments over the past few decades physicists have discovered matter to be completely mutable into other particles or energy and vice-versa and on a subatomic level, matter does not exist with certainty in definite places, but rather shows ‘tendencies’ to exist. Quantum physics is beginning to realise that the Universe appears to be a dynamic web of interconnected and inseparable energy patterns. If the universe is indeed composed of such a web, there is logically no such thing as a part. This implies we are not separated parts of a whole but rather we are the Whole. Barbara Brennan
  • Dick: ‘But the universe isn’t some big oneness. It’s made up of lots of very little particles. Erwin Schröedinger: ‘Particles are but wave-crests, a sort of froth on the deep ocean of the universe.’ Tim Freke
  • The orthodox view in physics is that quantum waves act mechanically on a particle, controlling its movement in much the same way that the waves of the ocean might control a Ping-Pong ball floating on its surface. But Bohm does not feel that this view can explain, for example, the coordinated dance of electrons in a plasma any more than the wave motion of water could explain a similarly well-choreographed movement of Ping-Pong balls if such a movement were discovered on the ocean’s surface. He believes the relationship between particle and quantum wave is more like a ship on automatic pilot guided by radar waves. A quantum wave does not push an electron about any more than a radar wave pushes a ship. Rather, it provides the electron with information about its environment which the electron then uses to maneuver on its own. Michael Talbot
  • The Undivided Wholeness of All Things (David Bohm and Michael Talbot)
